I recruited a child

In civ forge i went to a town and saw a prisoner, i recruited him to find he was a child. has anyone else done this?

Hmm whats that smell... Oh hi Urist still taking that nap, its been 5 months I can only manage to sleep 3 days. You might want to get that Axe wound checked out though; you are in the Hospital.

I went to a bunch of goblin fortress that had been taken over by the humans and attacked. When I left the 5th one (after killing all the humans) I had rescued ~30 children. What kind of parents are the humans......

isnt it possible to sever the chiildrens arm and beat him with it when he doesnt block you from a creature?

Personally I just break both of their legs and then leave them in the middle of the woods. I've actually had one somehow find me again, though he was strangely missing several fingers and an eye. I found out later that he had been savaged by a mountain lion but some how got away. He got smacked into a magma pool later and I actually got the message "so and so, human child, punches fire imp" before he died of the heat.
