DF 2d version
« on: July 08, 2009, 05:27:02 pm »

I want to start a 2d fort just to say I can.  My first question is where I can get the last 2d version, and my second is whether there are any significant differences between that and 40d.

You can get older versions dating back to 19a on the DF Main Page.

It looks like 23a is the last 2d version.  I couldn't tell you anything about differences, though, as I've never used that version.

Thanks.  I'm gonna mess around and see if I can figure it out on my own.  It can't be too different, right?

*Snicker*

Well, other than Flows, immigration, trading, danger levels in underground features, deadly wildlife and extreme unoptimization, it is not terribly different.

But yes, it should not be too much a problem figuring the issues out if one is alright at playing the current game.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.
