Hmm... A catapult that launches vomit perhaps?
Or maybe vomit bolts for ballistae and crossbows?
better still they could make it so you could gather vomit in buckets and make it function as a liquid so you can truly show your absolute hatred for the elves by drowning them in a river of vomit.
vomit has proven to be quite a deadly projectile, so vomitbolts should work out well too.

Why is there a goblin in that 1x1 room?

the real question is what the lever in the room next to it does......

Dwarf: I'm so sorry! I hope this doesn't disturb our BLARGHHarrgghh!
Elf2: Oh jesus! This is the last time I trade with dwarves
Elf1: You said it! Wait! Is that burnt plump helmet chunks in there
Elf2: Indeed it is
Dwarf: ARRGGHablarghablargghhh

Or try FUBAR! The best chocolate bar ever!
And you can't eat them, either, sadly. Even though it'd make sieges so much more fun; dwarves lining the walls, drooling and carrying sharp knives and forks, ready for the upcoming meals.

I wonder if things like this will be a problem once diseases are introduced.

It's more than 1 goblin in there isn't it?

My guess given the walled in lever is that he's storing all the caged goblins in there and one day will unleash them on his fort.

I'm almost positive that in the room with the goblins is a spike trap and that lever operates it.

And that is why I site my trade depots under cover.

Also so I can fill them with water. Hehe.

A tendon in the skull has been torn!
The Raven has been knocked unconcious!

Elves do it in trees. Humans do it in wooden structures. Dwarves? Dwarves do it underground. With magma.

Vomit as a true liquid would be excellent, especially for those situations where you have a bunch of prisoners and want them to die in the worst way possible. I can however understand the rationale behind it (and blood) not being true liquids: Theoretically there shouldn't be enough of that to fill a whole tile.

Ewwww that thought is disgusting.

I know its possible to hurl just by watching someone else do it, but do you think its possible just by reading about it?

I have a funny idea. Why not make a dwarf-pyramid with all of them facing opposing directions from each other and have a vomit-fountain?

Or if it does become a true liquid, utilize screw pumps to do the work for them?

Yes. high pressure vomit waves crashing over the sieging army. Then you collect the vomit, mix with the newly created blood, and repeat.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

Ooh, nasty idea.

Edible/cookable/brewable vomit.

I leave the rest to your imaginations... >_<

EDIT:
It should fetch for something in the elven communities however. They'll think it's moss.

Edible/cookable/brewable vomit.
Dwarven recycling at its finest.  I just hope nobody gets the idea to do the same for the other end.
