Solution to the Spoiler Adventure?
« on: July 07, 2009, 11:06:35 pm »

So, did anyone manage to figure out the dial combination from the spoiler adventure in the development post of July 7th? I searched but couldn't find anything.

Well ignoring the fact that the solution was a HUGE series of Plot Holes it was solved by reading the adventure

Othoclaus, Tantrum, and I just did numbers until I got it.

Oh of course! I hadn't thought it would be orthoclase because A) It wasn't the only mineral mentioned and B) Microcline was listed 11 times, so I thought it had to be microcline. Ah well, thanks.

The number is 6, by the way.

I got a good laugh out of the orthoclase quarters.

Of course you didn't because it was a Plot hole.

Got everything right first try, except thinking the anvil inscription was IV instead of VI caused a lot of troubles...

Also, I didn't see any microcline, but multiple mentions of orthoclase, and the tantrum spiral was kind of obvious too... (I liked the other answers though, which includes just about ervy reason for the destruction of a fortress int his community, including perfectionist restart, zombie whale, thrown butterfly and many others)
