You cannot get the torches because we have not yet gotten through the gate!

"You will find my reason's soon enough Knave, for now, do as i say.

I do not care for the lives of the prisoners, but we will gain a larger monetary reward if we bring them back Breathing"

Puts head in hands

"we look nothing like the Goblinoids itituem, this is why we require a live one, and also to find their speaking patterns and dialect"

( you mentioned torches lining the hallway, but neglected to mention the gate)

I'll look and see how tall the building is.

"If we can get up there, we could probably find an easy way in, completely undetected. Then we could free a few slaves, grab some goods, and get out."

Jack gives Jakkara a long look.

"You want to lead?  Fine.  Personally, I think Strike here has a better plan, but if you insist go ahead and open the door and you can lead the way in."

"I bet this passageway leads right to an area where the goblin guards hang out."

I'll attach the rope to the grappeling hook, then throw it over the roof, trying to hook it on something. I'll take 10 on both.

((... What? The goblins built a hallway in a forest, without a roof? That's ... interesting ... Fine, I'll be railroaded through the gate.))

"Those goblins are really strange, building these walls with no roof. Oh well, let's go through it slowly."

I'll go in front, hidden and checking for traps as I go.

Err wel...here:
You throw the grappling hook, but as it comes down on the gate, it seems to bounce off. Strange....there must be a magic field above the dungeon!

"Greased the roof, huh?  Savvy sorts, these goblins.  Lead on, sir."

Jack follows Strike's lead, holding his longspear ready.

THe gates open up noisily. You check for traps, but there are none that can be seen.
