:o  99900 Euro, What the hell!  Oh that's right you silly Europeans use commas for decimal places.

Anyway just upgraded my computer for as cheap as I could.
Intel E5200 @ 2.50GHz.
4Gb of generic ram.
Cheap motherboard (EP31-DS3L).
9600GT graphics card.
And a nice 22" BenQ monitor.

Cost me around $900NZ all up, buying parts second hand where I could. Wasted about $140 on second hand stuff that doesn't work though, so it is a two sided sword.

Define "sterling"

1GB of RAM
2.2GHz AMD Processor(Ranked at like 3.5, I don't know how that works), 1 core
GeForce 8500GT,(The only thing I've changed in it, was like 100 dollars but can handle just about anything if you don't care about HDR and Antialiasing)

It's like a box cutter, it's not as good as a katana, and it doesn't look as nice, but it still accomplishes the goal.

2.61 GHz, 2 GB RAM, Nvidia graphics card I don't remember the specs to now and that's it.

Around $500 it was. I figured it was a good price for a decent machine.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

HEY! HEY! HEY!  You have the same specs for my back-up computer.  When I play Team Fortress 2 on it I can get 40-50 FPS at 1024x768 resolution at high settings.  You want to know how?  How?  How?  Set the directX level to 8.  Google it or something, the FPS boost is AMAZING for those specs.

Doesnt DX8 look a lot less nice than DX9? In stalker it makes a whole lot of difference, but yeah, DX8 needs a lot less power.

Yeah, he meant 999 Euros. If you want to get a real "high end" system, it will cost like 1500 euros at least nowadays.
