I had 12K before the server started fucking up, with checkpoints every ten minutes to stop more than a few minutes from being lost (what got me to stop playing, really: I didn't want to be saved outside if/when the server crashed, and have to hope that by the time I could get back on I hadn't been raped, murdered, and looted, as replacing my equipment would set me back a few dozen chobos...), at which point I took a month or whatever off. The rent from my apartment only totaled up to four or five thousand, meaning I still have most of my money...

I don't think there's a bay12 corp. I'm led to believe that it would be griefed out of existence, as the resident goons don't look too kindly on us, apparently. I joined KREW a couple of days in, about the same time I managed to get a helliday inn apartment.
