Yeah i think we should supply orphan alts with a massive stack of weapons and molotovs (i have close to 1k of these) and just scramble all over the server suicide bombing.
I suggested this once, but it was using an orphan and an abomination to spread chestbursters all over FC.

Doing your bit for B12's reputation.

Indeed. When Toady finally sees this topic, I'd suggest he delete it outright. I know he and ThreeToe have strong feelings about child porn and being associated with it.

I was actually wondering when that would happen. The Nethernet was locked and that was far tamer.

Ahh, but the disclaimer "All orphans, corpses, inflatable sheeps, cinderblocks and wild dogs depicted in this game are 18 years of age or older" makes it all better...

Well, ok, admittedly not. Just keep it clean, discuss the combat system or mutations or something. For example, while I like Hellmoo's skill system, I wish they would implement a system more like DF for combat. Stuff dies from being stabbed in the leg dozens of times, not quite as viscerally satisfying as stabbing a creature's leg to cripple him before you go in for the more lethal body and head blows.

You can't. At least not with any standard codebase. I wouldn't try it with PennMush. There simply isn't enough room for it. There also the system resources that such a combat system take, and the lag it would generate even with a small mu* >10 or so would be great.

I once punched a guy, once, in the foot and killed him. Granted I was using artifact knuckle busters that menaced with spikes of sharpened flame, but still, one shot to the foot.

I was trying to make the subject of the topic as tame as possible, merely to show people the game existed and was fun, while honestly hoping to avoid anything that'd inconvenience Toady or Three Toe. I would have made it a month before if I was more confident I could do that.

I'm surprised though, ignoring the content of the game itself the thread has been fairly clean.

Oh I don't know. I've seen more than a few instances of mentioning orphan rape. It's kind of upsetting. Subconsciously. And consciously. Really, just upsetting all round.

So I just got another mutation slot. I already have screech, which is worthless, and iron liver, which is very useful. I'd like to get High Density or Snakeskin for defense, or possibly Salamander since I don't have the medical skill to use casts and nobody wants to apply them for me, or Writhing Smoke to escape from fights gone bad (plus the extra focus might make screech actually work once in a while). Which mutation do you think would be most useful?

Get HD definetly, if ye want screech to be useful then get smoke and grind focus with smoke untill your focus is at a respectable level then screech should become more useful. Salamander works off this as well I do believe.

If you want to fight zombies, Hyper Immune is nice, as well as making you immune to all diseases. However it is the biggest pain to get. Have to get to a lab thats filled with strong zombies and mad scientists, and its about a mile down the sewers.

If arachnos are more your thing, either snakeskin or ultraclot. They do a lot of stabbing and slashing damage.

And if fun is more your thing, F machine.

Man, you know that place with all the zombies in the basement? Man, I've been so detached from the game I've forgotten the name. Anyway, there's that hole filled with water? Nobody mentioned that. 6 minutes of frantic 'up!' 'up!' 'up!' whilst being bitten. I cannot believe I lived through that. And afterwards I had to run through the city screaming 'mort!' 'mort!'

...

I suck at this game. Man, no wonder I quit.
