Would anyone be interested in reviving WOMBAT under a different name? I have been doing a bunch of jobs and contracts, and have nearly 50k to start us off, if anyone was interested.

See, that's clever griefing.  Any player without a stick up their ass is going to have a laugh at that and move on.  Ganking and jacking your loots is just boring by comparison.

Gonna have to go with Toaster on that one.  I mean, having some dweeb with a hammer camp on a tile with "kill everything that moves" auto-targeting turned on is just frustrating and disappointing.  Having an overwhelmingly powerful billygoat run up, grab you, rip your panties off and then eat them before running away is a "what the hell just happened?"-moment, and "what the hell" is what *should* be one of the founding ideals of HellMOO.

But, then again, where there's a will there's a way.  Griefers will as griefers can, and Hell was always set up in a way to allow for rampant overlording provided someone had a really big stick or just a bunch of friends.

I'm not sure what's going on with HATE at the moment, servers have been down since about (to my knowledge) middle of yesterday. So I signed up for HellMOO. It's a lot different. No infinite IP grinding in a day, store hours, more players. I kind of like the concept of the Outlaw system, but the permadeath for them kind seems like it will just make it so no one wants to be an outlaw. I'd suggest having outlaw cloning banks way out in some remote places, but i'd probably just get banned. My biggest problem with HellMOO is that i'm not exactly sure what i can and cannot do to other players.

Murdering is obviously out, but is rape still in? Can I grab a player and take their pants? Can I grab a player and push them into the sewer? I want to know the boundaries and they don't seem to have a help file for it in the game.

I have joined HellMOO, and I am taking a build from someone else. I kinda doubt I will be able to pull it off, but we shall see. If there are any B12ers in here, I'd love to join up with you as I am corpless.

Edit: Dear god gymming takes a long time. I forgot how AMAZING the change from random IP to guaranteed IP was in hate.

It's really weird going back to HellMOO.

Takes so much longer to grind. I don't know. It's not a bad thing though, it's just different.
