I have no idea, I've never gotten too far into it, and there's always too much crazy stuff going on for me to really remember it all. I remember that one time I got locked in someone's apartment with a bunch of others, with just a videocamera and a heap of weapons, and everyone started hallucinating... So this game certainly does have some good points.

I played the new "After The End" for a couple of months, but got tired with it pretty quickly is its the same old bull as usual. There's only 2 ways to play this game as far as I can tell and one of them is open to veteran "goons" (or whatever they are) only.
The other way is a constant uphill battle where your best shot is to somehow either appease the mercurial goons of godlike powerlevel so they won't gank and rob you at random, or simply to lay as low as possible to avoid drawing attention to yourself. The second part is best done by never talking to anyone, ever and by never joining a corp, in my experience.

This was my experience with the game 2 or 3 years ago when I played it for the first time and this was my experience with the game 3 or 4 months ago when I played it again.
Even the names of the people who gank you are pretty much the same.
This is the most static and least "new" player friendly game I ever played.

Like I said earlier in the thread, Hellmoo is like that abusive spouse you keep going back to. Anyone that aren't part of the secret elite of the game pretty much have the gaming equivalent of battered spouse syndrome.

I don't mind being ganked, really! It's just people who blather on about completely ooc stuff, fail to use punctuation and grammar, and have walls of nonsensical text in their descriptions who ruin the game.
RP-enforced Hellmoo would be f***in' awesome.

Actually, I wouldn't mind the ganking and dickery so long as they put some creativity in it. Passion, man! Hurl some molotovs, blow me up in a suicide bombing, throw a severed phallus at my head hard enough to kill me. Spice it up!

I'm pretty sure that they removed the limit of grinding to 6 raw, though, so essentially you can grind a ton more if you want, but people don't all grind to 6 raw and then buy the rest anymore. I may be wrong, though.
Also it seems to me like some npc's don't go to sleep anymore. Tried to do the old 'follow commander andy into his room and scavenge booster packs to sell back to him' deal but the store was open at 4am.

Got some reinforcing correspondence from an (in)famous figure.

GOASTS should be safe to stay in, or at least as safe as could be expected given the circumstances. I hope.

EDIT: Anyone interested in clubs, let me know. I can bash together some razor bats if you give me the ingredients (1 Baseball bat, 2 rusty razor ribbon). I 'may' be able to teach it now. I don't know.

Man, trying to set up MUSHclient back to the way I had it is a pain in the ass. You know, having chat/trade output to a separate window, and having the colors set up much like the HellMOO client was (it just looked purdier).

ALRIGHT KIDS HERES A NICE BIG LIST OF CHANGES IN HATMOO

all skill xp costs have been cut to roughly 1/4th
raw grind cap increased to 15
gym ip per hellweek is now 50
you get 60 gym ip per mut slot
mut slot limit upped to 24 (this means you can have up to 1770 gym ip total if you ever reach that high)
SWAT removed
ENEMA removed
shop hours are gone
botany, weezer, lurleen, macero all expanded and viable to live in
EVERYTHING has a sky tile now, including the islands
zombie has been reworked
pistons/combustors have been nerfed, whips have been buffed, shock baton/piston/combust are now powered weapons
brainslug was removed

there are prob a lot of other things ive forgotten but hey this is the major stuff. get yer asses back in and play.
