I got an invite to the FLCF too, I think, though I ignored it for now.  I've always preferred to not join groups for some reason.

My rifle skill is 1. How much would one of those cost? Would it be worth training instead of blades?

Tahin: It's pretty unique... also, I saw you for a second (I'm Julian) and you were also found dead once!

Trorbes: You'll probably need to eventually, or at least make your own with only you in it. Corps can get contracts, contracts pay you for doing things or killing things. The fact that corporations still rule the world is true in the fact that almost every player is in one and works for one.

But you can still make your own and get contracts that way. You *could* do without them entirely, but that closes some doors, and you can't get into corpclave.

Broose: I'm not sure how much it'd cost in money or XP, but you can find out. Type 'sc' and look under "Improve" -- that's how much free XP you require to learn it up a rank, if I recall. You can also see how much free XP you have from that command.

Sorry, WorkerDrone

EDIT: Does training ever get easier? I died and got blade reset, and it is going up like .04 a fight.

I haven't seen a post by you in ages. Also, your avatar freaks me out a little. It sees into my soul.

Broose: Presumably more difficult opponents will increase the experience with a weapon you get, but that also comes with a greater chance of being killed.  Really the only (moderately) safe thing you can do is grind it by killing weak mobs - clones and orphans mostly and upgrade your eguipment as necessary.  And make sure you're updating your clone; at lower levels it doesn't cost all that much, and you can easily earn it back by trading packs of cigarettes and pawning off porn mags you loot from their corpses.

Keiseth:  I realized that corporations are important in the game, I'm just delaying joining one for now.

ZACH IS ALIVE?

Yeah, I haven't had enough money for internet for a while. Then I decided to get a job and that problem went away...
Maybe Bay12games could get a corporation or something, i'm sure that would be optimal as we could run our own affairs

Oh silly me, i forgot i stil lhave an apartment in bradbury.

I'll remove rhodan from my heliday one. I'll add you and ampersand to my bradbury one when i check which number it is, the rent is pretty easy to handle, and you guys can use it anytime, there's nothing there, so you guys can use as a storage or something.

EDIT: Checked, i'll remove rhodan once he wakes up and get out, don't wanna risky triggering any heliday anti-break in systems on him. Added both him and ampersand to my aparment on bradbury, i'll tell you guys which one it is. There's nothing but a ratty matress on it, so at least you'll have something to rest on.

You'll have to forgive the PCs. I think sometimes they don't know when they're killing an NPC orphan or a player orphan. I'm pretty sure this is an intentional, hilarious feature.

For instance:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I can hang around you and make sure no PCs try to mess with you, if you like.

Anyone, feel free to PM me with questions while I'm on, with 'Julian Huzzah!

Yeah, they take a lot of time to get used to, a lot like ASCII roguelikes. Sadly, the experiences didn't overlap for me, and each took a long time.

EDIT: If I don't respond, spam the hell out of me. Sometimes it gets lost in the information flow, or I'm AFK.
