From what I understand, all human life on hellmoo was just wiped out by aliens. Due to humanities rampant tendacies to wipe out all life on it's planet when attempting to destroy itself, the aliens gave humanity the ability to destroy itself without destroying everything else. The leaders of humanity were taken to another planet where hopefully they could reconcile themselves, and if not they're only harming themselves, and they left a box in the middle of all the earth's major cities, and if anyone pressed a button on any of those boxes, they kill all humanity. On the other hand, if humanity can control itself for eight hours, they'd leave them in peace on the planet. Naturally it took about eight seconds for Goasts to press the button.

Character wipe... I assume all the characters were deleted. I can't log in on either my old characters or a new one (my email accounts are unbound so I assume that the log in process is just down) so I can't find out exactly what's going on.

Oh god damnit. Now I get to try becoming a spearbom again, this time with absolutely nobody capable of teaching it to 15 save those damned rare spear raiders.

I can't even imagine how packed the orphanage is going to get.

I'd imagine there'll be some changes made to accommodate the fact that there aren't anymore high-level player teachers!

Much as I loathe having to lose my character and lucrative corp, I gotta admit it's for the best. Given the fundamental changes to the game mechanics over the years, long-timers had become rather unassailably entrenched. Haven't decided if I wanna get back into it yet, but it's heartening to see KREW existing again, at least!

Same here. I left a while ago, mostly due to griefing from higher players. Might come back now, even though you know that a few players will forcegrind their way to griefing level again.

Anyone else getting unbearable lag? When I went to dreams of before, even with knowing exactly where everything is I still couldn't find my stuff before I was killed.
