Somewhat awkwardly, Cairn returns the kiss. Then he turns to the Lich

"First things first - no pictures. I don't do pictures."

Cairns voice is friendly and conversational, even as the shadows on the film bubble and boil, completely distorting the image until it is unrecognisable. That taken care of, he turns back to Little and Sofia.

"I have an idea - we could go into a Darkroom. You might as well come too, Sofia, It's not like I could possibly get into more trouble. All I need is a minute or two to whip one up. It's sort of a miniplane like the Shadowscene you and I fought on, but... different. Suffice to say I'll feel safer there - I hope neither of you is afraid of the dark?"

Cairn grins as he finishes off his proposition

KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Screeching madly, the Feral barrels after Luke, talons ripping up tiny bits of concrete as they dig into the ground. Building up speed, the Feral is no longer running, but leaping, bounding several metres in a single step. The Feral is up to 40 km/h, now 50, now 60 km/h! With a screech, it leaps towards Luke. He's so close, the Feral can practically taste him.

[Little]

Little's eyes sparkle, a wicked grin on her face.

"Sounds perfect!"

[Gunner-Chan]

Sofia smiles widely

"Oh that sounds nice!"

[Luke_Prowler]

The floor had been mostly cleared of walls, and only a few supports held up the building. Luke plan was begining to take form, and all he need was Deadly. He did not have to wait long.

Coming at him too fast for him to dodge from, Luke held out his power fist, letting Deadly run into it. It's a succesful hit, but momentum refuses to be defeated, and Luke is sent flying from being rammed by the huge feral. he slams into one of the few remaining walls, causing the building to make a rather loud creaking/rumble noise.

Phantom hears something
"Does anyone hear some deconstruction?"

[Huge? A Feral is roughly the size of a human, with a little bit extra thrown on. But anyway]

Although the blow would have been more than enough to knock the wind out of Deadly, the Feral keeps going, leaping after Luke, before landing on top of him, pinning him to the ground with its sharp talons! Breathing heavily, the Feral whips its tail over its head, the spiked tip racing towards Luke's face!

"That's good then. Will Sofia be ok with that? I doubt she'll be afraid of the dark. Just a bit more explanation - the Darkroom, is a lot like what it sounds like - a Shadowmancer sucks all the light out of a room, leaving it pitch - and I mean pitch - black. Shadowmancers can still see, but you'll be blind, unless you have extrasensory vision. In a Darkroom, a Shadowmancer's magics are at their most powerful - but the Shadowmancer can't summon anything. No defined shadows, you see. Anyway, I'd best get to it."

Cairn gets up and walks into the lobby, periodically looking behind him to make sure the others are following. Once he finds a free bedroom, he motions for them to stay outside while he goes in. Inside, he simply sits quietly, and very still on the floor. Slowly, then faster and faster, the shadows lengthen and darken, slowly filling up the room. After a few minutes, Cairn gets up. There is no light whatsoever, but Cairn can still see. He grins - this feels great, and it's only gonna get better.

"You guys can come in now"

Strangely, no light from the hallway penetrates the Darkroom, there is a clearly defined line of twilight in the doorway, cutting off the light from the dark.

By now all the surviving squad members, save Atlas are awake. Rayne volunteers to watch him, while the remaining seven leave the battlefield. They could all sense it in their guts, after hundreds of years of campaigning there was only one explanation for the strange events here; perhaps even these zerg if their range extends that far: the forces of Chaos had a powerful grip here.

[Gunner-Chan]

"Wait... Can't see at all? Pfft. Where's the fun in that? Why don't we just go to the courtyard or somewhere mostly empty?"

[Little]

"Yeah, I gotta agree with Sof. We need a bit of light."

[Gunner-Chan]

"You know what? What about right here? I personally don't care if anyone can watch. In fact that's kinda nice..."
