I figured I'd put this here, while I still have time.

I'm leaving for Lebanon in a few minutes, but this isn't a two week vacation. My parents decided to buy a house there, a big fucking house for no other reason than the nice weather. This is a one and month a half-ish vacation to the middle of nowhere, where everyone speaks Lebanese instead of Arabic (trust me, it is not Arabic), and French instead of English. I thought you guys might be interested, but this is mostly to give me something to do. At least the internet has been set up for when we arrive.

Of all places in the middle east... You go to one of the worst places. Nice weather sure. Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not updated on the political events there) but isn't that place a dump? Hezbollah and all that good stuff.

Not really, it's reasonably stable (for now).  Iraq (domestic terrorism), Iran (civil unrest), Afghanistan (fairly obvious) and Palestine would all be a lot worse.

Yes, last i checked they can still have politics without resorting to suicide bombers (usually), which is pretty good.

Hardly the works of a terrorist Nazi Party. This was performed in isolation from the rest of the Nazi Party, and is an isolated incident. Meanwhile Hezbollah are an actual terrorist organizations, who injure dozens of innocents regularly.

Exactly. Their political agenda is also pretty much hardcore Hitler. Kill all the Jews, steal their land, instill Sharia law and basically proceed to turn Israel into another middle ages country.

Weirldy enough, it sortof is.  Hitler apparently greatly admired the militarism of some Muslim states, and even speculated about an Aryan Islamic empire.

Anyway, they're not in power... for now.  And they seem to deny rather than claim most of their attacks, which is strange for a terrorist group.
