[Mephansteras]

A Mephansteras. They're a creature I made up for a D&D game a very long time ago. Sort of a cross between an Ant and a Scorpion, with the ability to walk on two legs and use equipment. Rather nasty.

Cool.  I see it has clawed feet and a razor tail too.

Yeah, it got 4 claw attacks, a bite attack, and a poisoned tail attack. Nasty things. Nasty in DF too, when I made a race of them. They ripped anything living to shreds. Not so good against the zombie dinosaurs though, apparently.

5 requests will do nicely I might need a better reference for yours though Phantom. I can't tell what the hell he's wearing on his head. It would also help for yours Meph but I think I can make it out well enough.

Yeah Aqizzar, the ninja goblins didn't fully live up their potential, but I wasn't really getting enough to time to commit to it. I was hoping nobody would notice the cat ears. Drawing recognizably gobliny goblins wearing hoods turned out to be tricky, so I just went with cute goblins.

[REQUEST:] Dorf-versions of (some of) the TF2 cast.

  I knew someone would request this eventually!

Humanoid Ant-Scorpion is about the best I can do. It's what inspired the avatar, at least. You can also take some inspiration from the aliens from the Alien franchise if that helps.

Freed up a spot for you LL. I just don't like taking too many requests at a time because doing so allows me to procrastinate on the less interesting ones. Also thanks Phantom. I figured they weren't night vision because it was, you know, daylight.

Well, at first I figured it had to be a ballista, but I also wanted to do the classic gun-holding-pose and ballistas are pretty large. Too large to carry. So I went with a giant plate piercing crossbow. But siege equipment is more heavy-weaponsy, so yeah, let's call it a modified ballista. Best of both worlds.

I just wish the repeating crossbow had occurred to me before I finished.

I wonder what A scout dwarf would look like..

I've been reading Discworld recently - I was thinking of Detritus the Troll's modified ballista crossbow.  Something about that mental image stuck in my mind.
