I agree with this.  That "candy" while good in the short run, is bad in the long run.

if you just use okenido and ralts you should be fine. as long as they're a reasonable level. like 13-16.

at 16 ralts has no problems with Brawly at all.

GO TO GRANITE CAVE (is that what it is called?) and start meandering with ralts as the lead pokemon. Make sure you have visited the pokemon center.  Fight. Use confusion. Don't get killed. Run away if you get hurt too bad.
LIST POKEMON STATS. ALL OF THEM.
