DON'T DO IT THAT MAY WILL CAUSE YOU NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. WHEN YOU HEAD ON THE GRASSY PATH UNDER THE CYCLING BRIDGE SHE IS THE HARDEST FIGHT IN THE GAME. SERIOUSLY, EVERY TIME I TAKE AT LEAST 3 TRIES. EVEN WHEN I FIGHT EVERY WILD POKEMON I ENCOUNTER (which increases the amount of xp gained by, like, 2%)

3 tries doesn't make it hard. I've tried beating that damn Maxie 5 times. He's hard.

I know the ones in the current area is poochyena, wingull(spelling?), and zigzagoon.

You could theoretically get a ghost type in the... second city (with the corporation HQ). By making the ninjabug thing evolve into the bee thing whilst carrying an extra pokeball and having an empty part slot.
And one of the rock thingies in the cave on the island is also ghost-type, I think. The one with the bigass eyes.
