I'm too lazy to post all of these things in all of their own separate threads, so here we go:
New animal: chicken. Gives eggs, is basically the meat replacement for the cat, though it's bones suck. Maybe rabbits, too.
New weapon: sling. Cheap, innacurate, but deadly when it does hit. basically you can equip this for next to anyone in the offchance they'll hit someone before it gets to melee combat.
Combat: more management options for marksdwarves, including "skirmishing". Also, holding ground for marksdwarf formations. Once it gets to melee they must switch to melee weapons.
Boats! fishing boats would be awesome, and would make the implementation of aquatic-only eldritch creatures like the Kraken applicable and awesome.
I was going to say some other stuff, but I forgot :/
