Bah. I know just how to deal with this.
There, that should keep 'em happy. Ingrates never seem to realize that I control the food lever. Come to think of it, where did the food lever come from?
lok! a shp!
nooo its gone i ned 2 maek my own shps now
The citizens of the Majesty of Colours seem to think I spelled their base name wrong, and petitioned to have it changed. I had those responsible arrested on charges of seditious conduct and contradicting the Provost. I really like my new intelligence service.
Oh hello Lal how are you... uh...
Right. I knew it! I knew he'd try to kill me!
Because an outpost close to the border of a hostile state defended only by a Unity Rover is always a good idea.
How exactly do I know this?
Oh ho. This looks like a job for my Probe Team.
You've nowhere to hide, nowhere to run...
Crap. Lal's Probe Team defeated mine. Didn't get a screenshot of that.
I'll just have to postpone my plans for a Rec Commons...
And move the garrison into the team's way. Hoping that he doesn't have enough credits to capture it.
Another Probe Team at Boatmurdered? Well, what to do about that is obvious.
Had to rub it in my face, didn't you Oldbeard... You know, that battle was probably how the real Boatmurdered would have gone if the dwarves had armoured cars and machine guns. And the elephants were futuristic super-spies.
Don't know how I know this one either. What's worse is that I don't have Doctrine: Loyalty yet, so I can't start building it. Probably for the better, actually. I'm already using two of my five bases for projects.
Glargh I hate bases growing without my say-so.
Aha! My cunning plan succeeds.
Whoop, Peacekeeper Recon Rover. Looks like I'll have to expend some credits.
Modernization! For a science-focused faction, I'm a bit behind the times when it comes to my military.
From somewhere, a transmission...
Sigh. Well I can hardly afford a war on two fronts.
Right.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Ahem. I grudgingly accept.
This technology allows us to build impact weapons, which are twice as powerful as our current lasers.
Damn. That was just bad luck: the odds were in my favour there.
Nevar. I can still win this.
Peacekeeping forces at Boatmurdered. Dwarves with laser cars now: they don't stand a chance.
As you see.
Oh you bastards.
More drastic measures than the food lever are called for. There hasn't been anything useful coming out of Oldbeard Rock to help the war effort, but Oldbeard insists he's almost done with whatever it is he's doing.
My science advisor came in to show me this. We're at war, you fool! Ethics are beneath us!
Maybe it was a mistake to send that recon rover out unsupported. I sure hope I damaged that Peacekeeper rover enough that it won't be able to catch mine.
Movie:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPvK2p28PhoWow. Not bad, Oldbeard.
The Rock's starting to look pretty nice, as well.
Here's where we stand. That Peacekeeper force approaching Boatmurdered consists of three laser squads and a recon rover. There's also Spartan Impact Rovers running all over my territory, but I can't do anything about them yet. Also, the Weather Paradigm may seem like a pansy Secret Project, but there are few things more dwarfy than thermal boreholes: not only do they cause massive ecological damage, but they are also the sci-fi equivalent of magma forges. It also allows us to build mountains. And that's just too awesome to pass up.
