Sorry I haven't been paying attention to this thread much, guys, but to respond to a question Toady asked a few pages earlier, four isn't a crowd, I don't think. If anything, we could always alternate or pick up for people if for whatever reason, they are unable to participate on a given date. Four people working on the project, that is, doing a bit of the planning, writing, editing etc, sounds about right to me.

Additionally, I think we should all do a test Skype conference to determine the sound quality of microphones and set them all to appropriate levels such that we don't get the same problems as the previous interview, that is the host's voice steadily diminishing into the background

Yeah, we've done a levels check already on Skype.  Toady, Capntastic, and I have been talking (verbally on Skype) about adding a fourth rotating slot to the cast.  We are definitely open to the idea, and will probably be talking about it more after the initial pilot episode.  ("Pilot" sounds all fancy and Hollywood-esque huh?)  At any rate we're excited about this initial podcast and would appreciate your continued input and advice any time before the 30th.

Additionally, if anyone in the community is a musician, as the editor of the podcast I would be open to consider using your 8 to 14 second original tiny musical transition if you want to make one.  I'm not sure the style, so just send me anything if you want.  If it's good and I can use it, I'll give you credit at the end of the show.

3. The sound HAS to be top notch. Buy a good mic damn it! Test them and perfect them. No heavy breathing, no background noise, no nothin. You shouldn't need to have to run your podcast through any sound filters. A half decent mic setup can work fine.

This is really cruel to us people who are completely, utterly flat broke and only have a built-in microphone. Fuck you, you'll take my giant bee and you'll like it!

EDIT: Apparently, the guy who runs the MSPA podcasts uses Callburner. Also, possible theme music. It certainly sounds dwarfy, if you replaced 'Amish' with 'dwarf'.

Are you interested in writing commercials?  Email me some dwarvish commercials, and if the copy is funny enough maybe I'll have time to produce one. (I suppose you could do goblin, elvish or kobold too.)

It's an Audacity project file, but even if you had Audacity it still wouldn't help; it doesn't have the actual data files included with it.

Still nothing. I changed to .wav format, and turned down the length or whatever now it's super fast and I can't change it back because when I do it sounds hilarious.
