OBJECTION!

... that is all.

First ten minutes of play I ate my loincloth and then got some limbs torn off by a super friendly rat. Thumbs up from me.

OBJECTION!

Your sentence is too short!  And you need to explain why you OBJECTED.

Started playing Justice for All (the second one).  Real fun, I like it so far.  The first episode took me 2 hours and the second episode took me about 5 hours.  I'm going to start episode 3 soon.  I must say I like the twists, especially when I find the answer before everyone else!

What is especially funny is the fact that the law is so messed up in the Pheonix Wright Series.

"Yes you have proven your client is not guilty but you need to prove someone else is"

In Phoenix Wright, you're guilty until proven innocent.

In Phoenix Wright, evidence can be brought up at any moment.

In Phoenix Wright, circumstantial and frivolous evidence are taken as corroborating evidence.

In Phoenix Wright, pointing your finger while yelling "OBJEKSHUN!" will instantly make you win an argument.

In Soviet Wright, Objection is YOU!

It's in the backstory. It's twenty minutes into the future, and justice in Japan has become a media circus. Sometimes whether your client is innocent or not is decided entirely on your ability to juggle knifes and play chinese checkers at the same time.

My sister owns almost all of the Ace Attorney. I think she's missing one.

From a overpopulated planet new rules had to be made, including making court trials quicker.  Which causes the funny rules.

The Subtext if you pay attention is that they not only want trials to be quicker but that they really just don't care about true Justice, it is all just a publicity game. The increase in crime put everyone in a state of panic so they are willing to put just about anyone in jail. Including this the justice system was curved and the police are not required to do anything and all investigation is up to the lawyers.

Why else would they still send your client to jail even after you prove them not guilty but not someone else guilty?

I really wonder what Capcom was thinking when they made the fourth game. Who makes a direct sequel only to leave out like... 95% of the original cast without any explanation at ALL for what happened to them.
