Duke, Worker, Nermius, Pan, Angel, and Strife pile into the living room. Angel isn't pleased with the table.
I forgot that you can't actually set people to a starting relationship that isn't family. For the moment, everyone is just assumed to be recent aquaintances. Sort of. Hopes and Fears include-
Worker wants to paint shit..
Angel is afraid of making enemies of Strife and Nermius.
Duke wants to make friends with benefits with no one in particular.
Strife, Nermius, and Pan all think about normal nerd shit.
Everyone is terrified of public toilets. Unfortunately, there's only one private toilet.
Things kick off to a great start as Nermius, Worker, Strife, and Pan decend into a four-way ticklefest. Worker doesn't exactly play along, but reendears himself with a foul joke. Then everyone stands around to watch some boxing, since there's no room to sit.
While the quicker members claim chairs for cereal, Worker brings in the newpaper and sees his chance to become a pickpocket, his life's ambition. As part of the Not Crazy plan to destroy corporate culture, Duke signs on as a mercenary mall cop. Figuring no one wants to be a lab assistant, the paper quickly becomes an airplane.
Enter the ToonyManNermius heads out to meet their first loony neighbor and gets sucked into an economic symposium.
Duke, in repose. And in want of a proper chaise longue.
Strife and Angel materialize pillows and work in a little melee combat practice.
Pan gets to christen the bathroom. ToonyMan makes himself right at awkward home.
I think he heard me. Surprisingly, Strife takes this in stride. As it were.
Pan can't cook for shit. I mean, nobody can yet, but he just burned a cup of ramen noodles.
Everybody is mad at Duke because he took a long shower when they had to use the one toilet, making them wait outside. Except ToonyMan, who sauntered on in, giving the crowd some Fonzie pointers as he passed.
Duke chats up the neighbors, but quickly alienates her. ToonyMan is still hogging the couch.
Strife continues his reign of feathery violence. A least it's a break from
the tickling.
Funny, every other family I've tried to manage wound up at each others' throats.
Worker hits the sack early (but chooses the one in the stairwell for some reason). Strife, Nermius, and Pan follow. Tonight will be a battle for the couch between Archangel and Duke.
Okay, so I pussed out and bought Duke an armchair to nap in. He's one of two with a job and there's a shortage of seating. He's gonna need that job - the house cashbox now holds 17 simoleans.
