Classical musics...
« on: July 02, 2009, 06:31:21 am »

So... I'm a huge fan of ZUN's music, to say the least.
I'm also stumbling upon some of the old Beethoven's works. His Virus really did it to me.

So..

Can anyone suggest moar?

BTW, I would classify some of ZUN's to be in the baroque genre.

Also: Beethoven's Virus <- epic.
Moonlight Sonata, Remix (long version) <- I cried hearing to this. Really.

What did Beethoven do to deserve this kind of treatment? His music was perfect before, it doesn't need lousy sounding drums and such. It's like throwing a turd at the Mona Lisa.

Not so much like that.

It would be like applying Lipstick to the Mona Lisa.

I've always been a pretty big fan of Bach, although more than half the fun comes from playing his works.  There's a lot of room for different interpretations, but a quick searches of youtube seem to indicate that people don't really realize this.  :(

I'm inclined to agree. Though I think the more appropriate analogy would be gussying up the Mona Lisa with a bunch of garish looking make-up and a push-up bra instead of feces.

There should be some sort of heavy wardrum music that is seen as classical, if anyone knows this song, please share :D

I personally listen to adaptions with the romantic guitar (Pachebel's canon for example)

Nice, thanks, but the song I heard once was more full of it and much much more agressive with them, they really were wardrums.

My top three classical pieces would be:

Ride of the Valkyries.
Saber Dance.
Canon in D Minor.

William Tell Overture with Drums! It actually sounds quite cool.

It tend to like my classic music loud and energetic such as the cavalry Charge charge part of the WT Overture.

No Bach? Why is there no Bach?

I'd suggest, in particular:
Toccata and Fugue in D minor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipzR9bhei_o) and
Concerto for 4 harpsichords (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sdaVX-K5j8)
