Bay12 Origins?
« on: July 02, 2009, 04:19:53 am »

I'm watching Aliens...

Ripley: Where do you want it?
Sarge: Bay 12, please.

Anybody else know of any other "Bay 12" quotes? :D

I heard it was an old top-scrolling shooter called Raptor.  After every mission, you landed in Bay 12.

Interesting, where did you hear that?

Also, does anybody know what the picture on the home page is supposed to be? The one with Beyond Quality on it.

I was just going to ask that.  It's like a door or something.

Raptor was the most awesome game. We used to hold down the firing keys with stacks of antique foreign coins, so we could focus on the flying. Ahhh memories.

Looks like an old game -forgot the name- where you fly a probe around isnide a broken down warship. You have to avoid being destroyed by the defense critter on the ship, while investigating.

Iron Helix, Darkone?  Or am I remembering a game with similar interface from the same era?  I KNOW I've seen that game before.

Raptor was awesome, but not as awesome as Tyrian.

It MIGHT be from Iron Helix, but I doubt it.  The architectural style is similar but not quite the same, but at least I was remembering the right game.

That picture on the B12 main page looks like it's a picture from the cockpit of a power loader...
