Using Reveal
« on: June 30, 2009, 04:56:35 pm »

I don't do the whole modding things as I am still toiling away with basic Dwarf Fortress  ;D

However, I wanted to get a really sweet location for my next fort.   I found a map that seems to have everthing except iron and bauxite.  Is there a way to get Reveal to show me all the underground tiles?  Currently it just picked up the underground "features" like the magma pipe and surrounding squares.

Designate the entire bottom z-level for digging, then undesignate it.

Simplest explanation possible, that tells the game "hey, he's ready to use these spaces now, put some tiles there before he notices there isn't anything here yet" so Reveal actually has something to reveal there.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.
