It's..okay. Some of the lack of polish is really jarring and some misbalanced quests leave the game sorely lacking. I unsubscribed 2 days into a week long trial I got (The Escapist website has them)

So... I've been playing this one again. They gave me 10 days for free and it seems a lot of the bugs from beta have been fixed. The graphics got improved every so slightly, but if you haven't been there before, they will still feel very mmo-ish. The sense of distance and vastness got improved however with the new lod & fog updates.

I recommend any fan of post-apocalyptic themes to at least give the free trial a try.

I'm not sure I will be buying this myself, but... who knows...

I bought this a few months ago, see last page for exact date. Its a pretty good MMO if your into that kind of thing, I'm really not that big an MMO fan, so, I don't know, and I didn't play it for very long. Maybe a week. I could see myself playing it in future if I had the extra cash though.

There's a recommendation in there somewhere if you can find it. Its doesn't feel too much like a copy/paste of some other MMO.

I haven't gotten into sector 2 yet (this time) and I'm not sure I will be able to in the trial, not enough time. But I hear they really have polished it out. They are working on making a new sector, even.

Even sector 1 seems a bit more polished. The general structure remains the same, but a lot of the quirks with the quests got fixed.

I think your experience with that game changes a lot depending on which city you decide to use for leveling and questing. I found that out while exploring sector two. I found a vista-based city and it was -a lot- better to quest in for my character at the time, despise her not being vista.

I really liked this game in beta and thought it had a lot of potential. I was dismayed with the technical issues during launch and left. I am now returning but it seems my characters were wiped. I am at FARM right now using char name Huskie.
See you in game, just let me know you are a B12.

Downloading the updates to the client now, excited to see if this game brings me back to my ol' SWG days.

Interestingly, Armok's name actually originates from arm_ok, a variable in one of Toady's earlier games that kept track of how many of your arms weren't missing.

Lemme redownload it and I can jump in game, haven't played it in a few weeks.

If my character is still around I'm a lvl 1X vista.

Sorry atomic, I don't think it will cut it even with everything cut off. Try http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/srtest/

Thread Necromancy Go:

This game has recently been picked up again by yours truly as an alternative to Champions Online.

It seems to have come a long way since I played it last and I have been playing it pretty much solid for a week.

Improvements I have noted:

   - More starter towns.
   - Tutorials are actually useful.
   - Help channel is now moderated.

Things I still don't like:

   - That level 7 bad guy is a LOT tougher than the level 4 one he looks JUST LIKE.
   - And sundry other classic MMO issues such as node cutting, racism and what have you.

I got into the alpha, it sucked and I hated all the changed from pre alpha, but I still fought on to like it.
I got into the beta, well this isn't a lot better than the alpha but ok...
On release: what? I'm not really liking then nevermind buying it.

Overall it's better than APB.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves.  The obvious solution is to chain the baby up at the entrance as a kobold detector.

They were giving out a LOT of free full version licenses + first months a while back, on various sites. I kind of liked that it had advanced crafting, but a lot of stuff in it felt weird.

The tutorials have been improved and frankly made almost impossible to fail now.

While I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing, it can in some particular towns set you up for a string of deaths.

Fallen earth is similar to Ultima Online in its crafting model, basically anything you see can be made by someone.

Presently I am building the Wattsmobile Mk I, a road bike of some description.

Edit: Do work offline also, set all your ammo (for example) up in the craft screen just before you log off. When you log back in you only need to collect it.
