Some info would be good.  Like what program you're using to record stuff.

I wouldn't know the answer anyway, but you have to give us more to go on than just "hey this isn't working".

ah, sorry i though i had specified, im using FRAPS.

using the "get windows to choose" button i can get my mike to work, but thats about it.

im not quite sure how to get it to record in-game sounds...

Voicework without game sounds is okay.  We all know what the game sounds like.  You can fix it another time.
