Yikes!   Socks are a wonderful invention, especially the uber military double sock system, but being half-blind is a no-go, so...  forget the socks.  Hopefully we are wearing sandals!

Roman attack dogs (plate armour, unicorn style spike)

or

Modern US army attack dogs (teeth surgically removed and replaced with sharper, titanium ones)
