Thank you to everyone who Participated in the first round of DF Masters, and a special thanks to those of you who Judged the competitors. Blargityblarg, Zooeyglass, and Samus1111111, without you there wouldn't have been a contest, so thanks a ton for your scores! If you'd like to make your scores and critiques public now, I will leave that to you.

As a token of appreciation for all competitors and judges who saw this round through to the end, I've sent tiny banner image medals via PM that you can put into your signatures if you'd like. Thanks to everyone involved for making this a great contest, and I hope to see you when the next round comes!

Woo! Congrats everyone!

Well worth the wait Soliifuge. The medals are an outstanding reward. Thanks to the judges for putting the time in. Can't wait for the next challenge.

(And if your medal doesn't show up in your sig, make sure you have your acct settings set to show images, mine was turned off. Took me a minute to sort that out.)

Congratulations everyone! Most enjoyable - twas indeed a shame that some judges and some competitors couldn't get involved in the end, but now we have a much better idea of how much effort/time/dwarfsweat&tears&blood is required, so next round should be immense!

Congratulations everyone! And many thanks to the judges and especially to Solifuge, for this great contest! I can't wait for the next one.

I got the unlucky place, but I must learn from my mistakes. My next fortress will be "dwarfenly more gigantic" compare to this first classic one. :D

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Yes, I like how the ribbon on mine is quite obviously made of adamantine cloth, given the color.
