Crazy Neighorborhood - Suspected Bombings
« on: June 27, 2009, 11:17:05 pm »

Oddly yet, my neighborhood is weird. Full of mexicans and blacks (No offense), I feel like the only asian (Yes, I'm asian. deal with it.) that lives here. Every night, a house next to mines always has a party, or a barbecue or something, and I occasionally hear black people arguing, with a lot of "FUCK YOU"s, "NIGGA"s, and "GO TO HELL"s.

Also, recently, I think they're celebrating 4th of July early, as I heard loud explosions and such a lot. Something like that. Like initial fireworks launch, but you don't hear the loud explosion at the end of the fireworks, just a loud boom.

We have the exact same thing with the black people that live one house behind us. Loud music, constant screaming arguments, children watching cartoons at full volume in the middle of the night, barking dogs that they never shut up, etc. Right now I can hear a baby crying and their tv. I don't think they've ever set off explosives though O_o

I feel lucky.  The worst thing I hear at night is dogs barking and the rare screaming match between my neighbors.  Those dogs can get annoying though.  One time it didn't even sound like a dog, it sounded like I have no idea what and I could've sworn it was coming from in my room.  Freaked me out like you wouldn't believe.  I didn't know what it was until the next morning.

Never really had problems with neighbors, except for the sisters next door having a drainage pipe for their gutters dumping water into our yard. Not a problem 'till three inches of rain came in one night.

I used to think my neighborhood is pretty nice, but it's got a patch-work integration thing going on.  Matter of historical degradation and reform.  Originally it was a nice suburb, then it got really rich, then it went to pot except for an inner cluster of super-wealthy mansions, then some 70's style public housing was thrown up, then the city invested some money to spruce it up for yuppies but wound up attracting gays instead.

If you drew a line one mile long over my house, you'd start in the barrio, cross a thin spread of white cokeheads, a swath middle-aged gays, a mound of rich WASPs, then literally right across the street is a Project and all-night check cashing stores.

Anyway, what this comes down to is that insanity comes in all flavors and drops without warning.  I can hear in the air at various times: drunk queers arguing, automatic gunfire, all manner of dogs from inbred yarn-balls to stray pitbulls, backhoes busting concrete, streetbike races, pot-addled yard parties, and the loudest sound systems imaginable playing everything from 50 Cent to Steely Dan to Los Lobos to Barbara Streisand.

 Wait, Automatic gunfire?

Oh, right. You live in Texas.

Not just Texas, but downtown Dallas.  Well, right across the river anyway.

The gunfire isn't as bad as when I used to live right on the bar district (for Dallasites, that was Lower Greenville before it got yuppified).  Don't have as many drunk people throwing up in the yard either.

My neighborhood is controlled my dogs and the dog mayor.  I feel so alone.   :-[  Nobody understands me, not even my dog parents.

My neighborhood isnt too bad.

Except for one person. She is obnoxious, a snob, spoiled, and worst of all, one of the most idiotic people I have ever known. She yells all the time on the bus, cussing almost everyone out, even me when I was a freshman(long story short, she made fun of me, my brother said that she needed to shut the fuck up, and then everyone clapped at my brother and laughed at her). She was pregnant, and had an abortion. She was a sophomore, and I'm surprised she actually got to eleventh grade. Its just bad when I had the same math class as her and she was failing I believe. I had a perfect 100(well, for the first semester at least). She also smokes weed.

Really just a stupid person over all.

We all smoke weed on the inside.*

*I don't.

Anyway, just think that she is an inferior mortal who's opinion doesn't matter.

I wonder why she would do that to herself.  Having nobody like you is eh.  Like Jakkarra or whoever.
