Survival Kids (for the GBC)

If you like that, there's also Lost in Blue [1-3] and some Sims castaway game for the NDS. I seem to remember a fun Wonderswan Color survival game also. I'm likely wrong, though.

The screenshot looks exactly like the starting sequence of a ye old zelda game on the gameboy (black and white).

While Faery Tale does indeed look to be interesting, the "Wait to be born" thing is a crock of shit. A few games have tried to implement that feature, and everytime the queue to be born becomes monstrously long, with hardly any people giving birth. I was 77th in line the first time I signed up, it took about four months for me to be born and then my parents abandoned me, leading my character to die. Second time I sign up? 554th in line.
The idea of persistant families with new members being born into them as new characters sounds appealing, but it will never work in practice. Ever.

I tried emulating Lost in Blue, but apparently it requires microphone support (which current emulators apparently do not support), as at one time it asked me to "blow" to keep the fire burning and none of the buttons did anything. :S

Unless NPCs are the parents and there are lots of NPCs forming families. But that's a discussion for the MMO thread.

I think I can vouch for this. I can't remember which game it was, so I can't go back and test it. I've got an actual Lost in Blue 2 cart, so I didn't have to mess with that.
