Eh.

With the boring drudgery of absolutely NO interesting titles coming out, I find myself in a strange need for a survival game. You know, like DF. Anyone know any good ones?

Some examples that I have already played:
Unreal World
(That one game where you crash land on an alien world and the main source of food is a yellowish fungus (Forgot the name))

This one is excellent:

Wilderness:  A survival adventure

Don't bother looking for more expansions though, pretty sure they never got made.

It's the only game I've ever seen where you can figure out which way 'north' is by putting a stick in the ground on a clear-ish day and watching which way the shadow moves.  God help you if you got a little confused and thought you were seeing a different hill on your topo map than you really were seeing, also.  It's very much like real life!

Er. I played that for 15 minutes and only figured out one command, 'Go', which I did for 12 hours and got promptly eaten by a bear. Are there any manuals out there for it?

I should note that Shipwrecked has an alternative ending (or goal)

Otherwise it would actually be a mildly boring game once you get the hang of it.

If you like that, there's also Lost in Blue [1-3] and some Sims castaway game for the NDS. I seem to remember a fun Wonderswan Color survival game also. I'm likely wrong, though.
