I managed to nab a breeding pair of wolves.  They were absolutely lethal to goblins.

I spotted a giant desert scorpion on my current fort earlier during the reclaimation phase. It didn't attack anybody though and I may set up some traps to try and get one if another shows up. Going to end up with alot of camels though.

Just checked wiki and they do have the building destroyer tag. Not sure how bad that would be.

It's not bad at all if you don't piss em off they are not prone to randomly attack things.  Watch out for your hunter thought that could really start something.  Oh and I have had building destroyers break out of cages before be careful.
