Assume that I'm an idiot.

What made you want to discuss this?

Hey, ape's'll take offence to this, and this isn't even a valid discussion. Please ParkEX make your views heard so this will be a discussion.

"What if someone else beside you came to you and said, 'I want to make episode seven.' Could you see this happening," asks Stahl.

"No," says Lucas. "There is no episode seven."

From sixty minutes interview.

So, there's nothing to discuss.

Yep.

If I were Lucas and tired of Star Wars, personally, I'd hand it over to Timothy Zahn. The Yuuzhan Vong were cool; and this is the guy who wrote Grand Admiral Thrawn, after all.

I don't think he'd ever do it, though.

If I were George Lucas, I would kill it. In nineteen eighty four.

I'd take a historical Star Wars movie for an episode Seven, dating back to the Knight of the Old Republic era and the era of when Lucas could actually write a decent plot.

Id personally would have no problem with a Starwars episode 7

Also any fan that is against a episode 7 would see it anyhow..

Also yes the Old Republic would be an interesting setting though to my knowledge Lucas didn't actually write that. (Did he?)

I'd have no problem with it either.  Sure, I probably wouldn't watch it, but I guess he's entitled to waste his money on it if he wants to.

I think that the best man for the job of directing any new Star Wars movies would be Joss Whedon.  Imagine if he was allowed to take the rights to the first three episodes, scrap all the canon stuff that was said in them (metachloriates? GARBAGE.), and remake them as he saw fit.

It would be Awesome.  I mean, just think about Firefly and Dr. Horrible.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

Yeah that mitochondrial metachlorine clorox shit was stupid.

Completely shits on the very essence of the movies (the spiritual nature of the Force).

But I would still watch an Episode 7.  I think there should be a trilogy based on the Force Unleashed plot.  Ive never played the game, but the idea of Darth Vader's apprentice running around for 20 years between the trilogies is a resource that needs to be tapped.

I heard George Lucas created Midichlorians in the hopes of putting a stop to the people who thought The Force was real and formed a religion around it.  I don't think it worked.
