Well, apparently we already have 4 ships.

But, yeah. A sloop should cost somewhere near 30k PoE. Used, of course. But that doesn't matter. Just lurk in an inn for like 5 minutes, you'll find one.

Anyways, if we manage to gather 30 dubloons, we can get a crew. (20 for the cap'n badge, 10 for the fee.). Anyone up to?

Also, I live on Lima Island.

I don't know where you are getting 30K for getting a ship, in the shipbuilding stalls I'm in it costs only from 7k-10k at the cheapest available to make a sloop.  Unless you are meaning that with the supplys needed to run the ship, which I don't know how much they cost.

Ships cost doubloons on top of PoE, which does raise the cost.

Democracy is the worst crew leadership style ever, because nothing ever gets done--including promotions, etc.  I think we'd want oligarchy.

Yeah I just saw that it costs 20 dubloons to deliver it... didn't understand those costs until a bit ago.  I don't know how any of the political systems work so I'll just go with whatever someone picks.

I have no money at all, I can barely afford an officer's badge from month to month.  I keep blowing all my earnings on poker.
Also, even if we have a democratic/oligarchic crew, we'll still need to have a captain.

I used to play this game big time, I was one of the best Sailors on Hunter. I quit when I finally bought my first ship though, and got bored.

Plus I kept losing PoE in poker.

I did, and it's not THE reason I left, but it played a small part. The main reason was because I found that these games get really boring after awhile, plus a captains job is actually a lot more demanding than I originally thought it would be and that turned me off big time.
