Oh, I read the wiki and found the answer I wanted: I need to get a better badge.

I used to have a pirate named Picklebeard that owned a sloop. If I was on the right ocean, I might still be there and be able to donate my sloop.

This is really starting to annoy me, I cannot get ultimate rigging! I get up to legendary stay there for a while then get a single fine and get knocked down to grand master. I even got an excellent once and then got a message that I'd gone down to grand master. Rigging at the top is tough!

You can't afford to get excellent when you're aiming for Ultimate, seriously.

I bow before your years of experience, I figured at first that it would just be like getting an incredible only more grindy.

Nah.  To get an Ultimate, you have to be the best of the best.  It's not something you can just grind.  To get the number 1 trophy in a puzzle on an ocean, you obviously have to be THE best of the best of the best, at least at that point in time.

And to be the best of the best, you have to be practicing like MAD for a disproportionate amount of time to what it's worth, or a unhumanly talented freak of nature with puzzling skills like no other.

And really, some of the better captains I knew had crap stats, because they were spending all their time multi-tasking all the important jobs.

Haven't been playing lately, starting to feel like more of the same and a grind fest.

I hate grindfests almost as much as I hate linear storyline games.

Well I bought myself an iron working stall on olive island so anyone with a labour badge please come work for me  ;D I'm currently paying quite a bit in an attempt to attract workers also if you guys need cannon balls or weapons I'll sell them to you at cost. (Unless there is a way to set this up automatically I may have to just give you back the profit I made after you've bought them.)

Well, when I played, I was an awesometastic bilger, mediocre sailor, HORRIBLE navigator, I quit a month before rigging, so I have no idea about that, and I was a decent gunner.

Best blacksmith ever though.

What server are you guys on? I'm tempted to rejoin.
