Cursed Isles, non-event Blockades, and pvp with flags you're at war with are also all sinking.

Hmmm what do you guys think of pooling our money and getting a stall somewhere? I'm not sure how profitable they can be but I was thinking if we got enough people to pool the same amount of money we could buy a stall then use the profits from it to buy another stall etc until everyone who put in money has one. (Obviously we would be buying different types of stalls so we aren't in competition. All the people I've seen with stalls are very rich although whether that is due to their profitability or the purchase cost I'm not sure. :/

Sure, I'd be happy to help pay for some of it, just let me know when were doing it.

Floirt, when you're around, think you could make some trusted people into senior officers?  At the moment, you're the only person who can make people officers!

I once had a distilling stall on Hunter.  It didn't make too much progress...  possibly because distilling is one of those "AGH!" puzzles.

I rather like distilling actually.

Edit: A stall costs 55K POE and 10 Dub initially and requires 3.7k Poe every month.

I had an ironmonger on Sake once.  Biggest waste of time and money I ever made.

Distilling is one of those "either you're a pro or you'll never ever get an incredible" puzzles.  It's... saddening.  =(

Man.  I used to get incredibles in distilling all the time with a Crystal Clear^3.  Now with two of them I only get excellent, I guess skills have improved.  But eh, that's life.

Most shops are tremendously unprofitable :x  It's best to run a distillery if you tend to run huge pillages and consume massive quantities, so you can produce your own stuff at least.

I NEVER -- not even once -- manually produced expert distilling labor, but my standing became high enough that I could do it with offline labor.  The mind boggles.  And I think I was managing CC^8s or something near that.  The bar is stupdily high for distilling (well, it was then anyway, and I doubt that's changed).

Dumdedum- Added people who seem experienced and helpful as SOs, and switched to oligarchy. Also set the shares to "Jobber's delight", since jobbers never ever fill our ship(s?).

Ok I'm fed up of "We need a slogan!", so until someone comes up with better ones I'm proposing some.

Public:
We are Boat Murderers a friendly crew based around a common interest in the game Dwarf Fortress, anyone is free to join us just send a tell to an officer.

Extended Public:
For those interested in the origin of our name or who want to know more about Dwarf Fortress check out www.bay12games.com/dwarves.

Private:
Welcome to Boat Murderers, we currently have a thread on the Bay12 forums where we discuss things, head over to www.bay12games.com/forums you'll find us under other games. We don't currently have any hard rules other than to be respectful of other players, if you take a ship out on a pillage make sure you can restock it even if you lose everything. Other than that just have fun playing.

Like I said hardly perfect but those placeholder statements were really starting to bug me.
