You could start putting in requests for colored stone, since we're building a tower and stuff.

Sounds interesting.  I'll gladly play a year of this.  Bout how long is the expected wait?

Well, there are at least 6 players ahead of you.  Most players have been pretty quick, so I'm going to say ~4 weeks.

oh what fun I shall have... what could I possible construct on floor... whatever it is by the time I get it.  Yes colored stone would be nice.  Also, question, I assume we are still under various attacks? goblins, etc?

You play your old floor again.  The space is 4 embark tiles, so you should have plenty of room even on a second or third round.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

(Hmmm that's strange, some how this site remembered my name! and kept me logged in.)

I'd love too jump in, though I am rather out of practice, and have no idea how some things work in Dwarf fortress any more, at least I remember a good sum of the short cuts still.

Should I get in, I think I will take the hunter that fought off the siege, with a defensive layer in mind, just a small cross dwarfs turret on each corner, plus a better equipped barracks.

I should be fine as long as I can ask for advice, I don't want too gimp the fortress by mistake, but that's half the fun. :)
