i don't even know how to make SoF a civilization (though I imagine they would be the end of the fortress since we would be fighting them with ICE).  I'll see if I can mod in some Orcs, or at least add 3 or 4 more goblin races.

I still leave my second point in.  While I'd like to keep the popcap down, I'd rather not do it by killing all the dwarves in the damn fortress.

Okay, I have a new save here. 

I can't upload it to DFFD because it's being a little bitch right now, but here are the specs:

36 Z Levels
Orcs
3 goblin races
Active war with elves
Cold temperatures (meaning snow / ice from fall to spring I think)
Aquifer
Magma Pipe
Pop cap of 100 with 2 babies/10 children active at any one time

I would have spawned a new place, but I like starting with a war with the elves.  I could gen a few more worlds, I suppose.

I just had an idea.  Since we're in a cold biome, we could do the ice-trap in this post as a multi-turn, multi-level project.  Sure, it'd be hard to do and probably wouldn't work, but that'd be the fun of it!
