It's because we now know that at least there wil still be some remnant of us after our inevitable death.

Wow, nice work Christes.  Your attention to detail is amazing.  I mean, that labyrinth breaks my brain.  Jolly good show.

Samus1111111one, you're up.

What crash said, that thing rules.  I like how the levers to release the goblins are in the center of the maze, assuring that in addition to goblins and champions you'll have philosophers and baron consorts running around in there.

14th Malachite
The old baron consort shouted something at me today.  It sounded like “make ye flask!”  I told him “ye can not make ye flask.”
I am sigging that.

Build up.  Use all my goddam stone. :P

I'd recommend flooring everthing off, and starting a procedure for everyone else who wants to build up regularly.

Also, Quote is listed as floor 3, but I believe we skipped Quote's save...

Build up, try to make some stockpiles, workshop and shops(mall) for your level? Military barracks perhaps? Bedrooms?

Also, you can change Christes' profession to Former Leader.  I forgot to change it myself.

And I'd like to sign up for another turn.

If the baron some how get's that flask, the whole fort will crumble, just like in the game. (That the reference is from.)

Then we are doomed! And for some reason will include doom and gloom. (And magma.)

save: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=1349

I, Samus, master hammerdwarf and leader of the millitary have taken command over this tower. Seeing the lack of organized training facilities for myself and the other millitary dwarves, I order construction of an archery range with 10 targets, and 2 barracks, so that we may train and be ready to combat the goblin menace.

I have also ordered a large room to be built to house many more workshops, so that we may make all that is needed to make this tower the mightiest tower in all the world.

One other aspect that I took care of was the lack of beds. Unfortunately, time would not permit me to make everyone their own room, so I ordered our masons to construct one massive bed chamber, packed with beds. This will only be temporarily (I hope) until better accomidations can be constructed.

I also ordered the construction of some rooms of my own. Namely a bedchamber and a tomb (unfinished). However, time would not allow me to complete these marvalous rooms, so if the next ruler would be so kind as to furnish my bedchamers with the remaining cinnabar doors, and also place the cinnabar coffin in the middle of the room next to the bedchamber, with one statue in each corner and place more cinnabar doors in the doorways, I would be forever greatful.

Note to next player:
-I forbid all the stones except cinnabar in order that the masons use only cinnabar to create the furniture for my room. (not quite done, check mason shop near forges to see what is left)
-I forbid many of the masons shops, so that they would focus on building the floor and not doors
-The large space that is left on my floor can be turned into a market (many shops) or basically anthing that is needed.
-please, PLEASE, finish my room and tomb :)
