I'd have to agree with this. It isn't that the people who go on Youtube are stupid, it is that being stupid is their reason to be on Youtube. Just look at what gets popular, if you ever get a serious answer out of them they say it is "Stupid funny".

There are plenty of intelligent rational people on Youtube.

In regards to this community, while it is amazingly friendly compared to other boards I've visited, it drips with some of the most virulent elitism I've seen anywhere on the Internet.  Membership (and sometimes more fine cut than that) is a or even the definitional test of "intelligence".  Absolutely everyone else is too stupid to know what they want, know what they enjoy, make their own decisions, or be graced with the perfunctory kindness of human contact from this most enlightened population.

Or something to that effect.  It's not really any particular action or conversation that bothers me, such much as the casual way phrases like "common folk" or "normal people" are bandied about.  Here's a little hint - none of you are as smart, or so much generally smarter, as you think you are, to the very loose extent that such qualities can even be measured.
