You could go back to your old antivirus in windows, but dual-boot to ubuntu once for a while, and scan.

Im going to need a bit of help although.
After i burn it, do i just pop it in? I dont know exactly what to do to get rid of it.

And I recommend you to install it, along with your windows (that's why I said dual-boot)

3. Scan hard drive using Avast

My "buddy" is a college graduate IT worker/programmer.

Then i also have another IT worker who deals with this stuff, at the party today.

Did you see the graph making a difference between fully licensed computer programmers that compile Linux in their heads and your next door neighbor who is really good with a screwdriver?

ANyway, if you wanna see if hes good or not, go talk with him.
Im doing another scan. if the virus did duplicate itself i have to talk to teh IT worker for USBank who was here yesterday. (Hes giving me a free Mac PLUS!). And if it doesnt find the virus, then i have to talk to him too.
