No need to worry about time - I'm back on my linux box, which is still not recognizing my usb.

Does anyone know if Linux has an equivalent to paint?

I suddenly dislike you a little.

Also, the Kobald is obviously no theif,he is a mastertheif, because no ordinary Kobald can resist the allure of undergarments.
Then again I'd bet we would have more success with a thong...

Just use GIMP.

Admittedly, I've only messed with linux/usb once (I mostly use Windows), but it was as simple as "mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/>fuzz<" (could have the args backward). IIRC, it was actually a MP3 player, not a flash drive, but I was using it to transfer files.

Red Hat 8 (i think) on a Pentium (1! ONE! 166 MEGAhertz!) with 32MB ram. Still got that computer.

Mounting in ubuntu is rather different than windows.  Rather than the drive appearing with the message "hey, i found a drive!" Ubuntu reads from it, i just have to access it.  try that. the mounting suggestion is probalby the answer, though.

God, GIMP. Some of these take a long time now. I'd rather not deal with that. Any program that doesn't give me the ability to draw a simple straight line, and requires dozens of adjustments so as to draw a single spot of colour, just isn't going to work. Its good for a lot of stuff, I use it regularly, but it really wouldn't work for this.

Apparently sda1 is one of my partitions. Because thats what gets mounted. The technical details of that... confuse me. I did eventually find it, I think, but it says its already mounted. I have no idea how to figure out WHERE, though.

Yeah tell me about it, you can't draw lines in Photoshop >.>
Well, you can, but it gets added as a bloody object, meaning it clutters up my layers panel >:(

Don't know where it's mounted? o_0 Open a shell and type "mount" (with no args). That should give you a list of all mounted devices and where. If you're getting an "already mounted" message, surely it says what device it's refering to.

But then, I've never used Unbuntu, so YMMV.
