Huh. Proven wrong, but in a good way. More outlandish construction = good for all dwarfkind.

Well it's looking pretty complete now, but the back is looking rather bare.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

What can I add to it? Backpack? Cape? Cloak? A shield would look too link-ish

and we all know what hyruleans look like.

A bag full of socks. Or would that apply better for an adventurer?

In a different case... A dwarf symbol, or something that resembles the fortress identity.

I have been moving onto works that would be impressive in 3D, your dwarf looks great, but what about some girth, y'know. Give him a belly...

By the way what'cha drawing that on? Might help me with a Dragon design I will be attempting to reveal later...

I say fill out his back side add the fort's symbol (or a red &) to his back. Will he be hollow on the inside? If so move your fort inside him! Bonus points for having a group of dwarves that your dwarves live inside!

He should be on fire, make the flames sprout out of his back. Also add magma somewhere.

I think you mean bender, and yea it looks a bit like him.

I agree on the toes, just make it look like he is wearing shoes.

I'm not sure how I'm going to build him yet, the possibilities are endless. I'm going to make a layer by layer layout for anyone who wants to build it.

I'm using Rhinoceros 4.0 because I'm familiar with it, but you could achieve the same thing with google sketchup.

The belly is a good idea, he might look more like santa though :P

How do you check your forts symbol? I know you can see other symbols in legends but...

Maybe I should have him carrying a barrel of booze on his back and have a gold flask in his hand?

THERE HAS TO BE A STOMACH INSIDE!!! Fill it with magma and make it dribble out his mouth, make it a constant dribble.

Also, fill his cup with water and throw some carp in.... then the Elves go next and you have a tasty brew right there!!

Military dorfs are the busiest if their partner is also in the military, Military children are my forts future, also its hilariously tragic when a mother carrying her child into battle gets hit, and the baby dies....
I fixed that up for you.

Bonus points if you fill the barrel with magma and then have it dump on invaders...

Even better if you turned the barrel sideways and have magma coming out of the tap.

Both excellent ideas. Do we like the barrel on the back idea? It can be bigger that way, too. Plus the resting it on his hand looks weird.

keep the crossbow on the hands idea, but have it fire a ballista bolt at a tower room in front of it, preferably with a noble or kitten inside
Logged
my champion is now holding his artifact crossbow by his upper left leg and still shooting with is just fine despite having no hands.
What? He's firing from the hip.
