[Adventurer] adding more armor types to human shops?
« on: June 22, 2009, 11:43:46 am »

I don't know if a mod like this exists yet or not, but is there any way to make the human shopkeepers carry more types of armor... like, say, dwarf-sized armor?
Or more materials besides just iron?

At this point, I think that might be hard coded, meaning we can't touch it.  I could be wrong, but as a rule we can't touch anything that isn't in the raws and I don't think this is.

I know that you can make them carry more types of armor. All you have to do is add them to the human civ. As for more sizes of armor, I think that is hardcoded.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

Yes, you could make them have steel, but it would all be human-sized.

I know this is treasonous talk but what if you make dwarves settle in towns, will they have shops then?

Thanks for the information. How do you add different material types? I couldn't figure that out.

Also, I'm trying to make dragons a playable adventure race, just for shits-n-giggles. I did the same thing I had to do to make orcs a playable race, but the dragons won't show up as a selection. Is there any way to get this to work?

As far as I know, pretty much everything that isn't hard coded is in the raws.  Conversely, pretty much everything that isn't in the raws is hard coded.  I'm possibly mistaken, but I believe that's the general rule of modifiable content.

You could also make humans dwarf sized, or vise versa.

I think you can add the [METAL_PREF] tag to add steel to human civ's.
