Little Big Adventure was AWESOME.

Was the sequel any good?  Was its music as good?

What's Neverhood?

Neverhood is an oldish claymation puzzle game. Quite fun.

Yeah I'm late, so what?

Look... People have started fucking huge flamewars over this.

In my opinion it's like the Higurashi, and Tsukihime animes.
They're somewhat decent until you realize how superior the Visual Novels were.
But instead of raped character designs, and plot holes that weren't there to begin with, you get scaled leveling, an environment that isn't even lore correct, and poor unfinished excuses for quests.

Moving on from my most likely poorly grammatically structured opinion...

Touhou Project
DoomRL
Eternal Daughter

Those animes never happened.
THEY NEVER HAPPENED.

Tell you the truth, I haven't seen any "Must Play Before You Die" games in quite a long time.
Sure, some games can be great fun, but that doesn't make them Must Plays.

Some games that everyone should try at least once?
Hmmm....

Super Mario Bros.
Metroid Prime
C&C
Morrowind
Twisted Metal

Metroid Prime

Surely you made a typo, and you actually meant to type "Super Metroid".  Don't worry about it, the keys are like right next to each other.

Well ... sort-of. You may find it breaks the lore a bit, plus it is more cartoon-ish. It is a good deal bigger though, and you get to visit diffrent planets as well.  ;D As far as the music goes, it is kinda hard to judge how good it is compared to the first one ... some of it is pretty nice. It is also 3D but it still somehow manages to keep the spirit of the first game. Oh, and there is quite a sizable community at magicball forums even today, quite surprisingly.

I must agree. Prime was fun, but Super Metroid takes any and all cakes that are available, then bakes two and takes *three* more.

Ultima IV, I think. It heralded in a new direction for the series and influenced many games that came after it.

I've played Super Metroid, actually, I have it.
I prefer Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow(I like collecting things) but I agree is a great game.
I never really played far into it(Right after beating Kraid) to tell the truth though.
Prime just had this bigger sense of exploration that I didn't feel in Super Metroid.

Riven: The Sequel to Myst

Perhaps this would more accurately be described as a "Game that you must try to play before you die", but still- everyone SHOULD... well, try, anyway.

Riven: The Sequel to Myst

If I had to be stuck on an island(s) Riven is where I would want to be.

Anyway games to play before you die.
Civ 3 or 4
Halo (1,2 or 3) 16 player multiplayer in a house with at least 4 Xboxes system linked.
Doom 1,2 or 3 in a dark room late at night with the lights off, and your alone in the house.

And Tetris!

Ikaruga. It's, to me, the Tetris of shoot'em'ups. Changing your polarity from black to white is an extremely simple mechanic that Treasure DRIVES. INTO. YOUR. SKULL. Then takes a pneumatic hammer to it just for that extra 'oomph'. The start of each level greets you with poetry, and your process of dodging the incredible amount of projectiles thrown at you becomes like a dance.

After playing it long enough, you will actually begin to subconsciously change your polarity in anticipation of the next attack. You'll use that to fly into the biggest, baddest beam being shot at you, just to absorb it and fire a Macross Missile Massacre at everything that moves.

Also notable for having an insanely awesome final battle.

Hide the Sausage

this is the only one so far that is a MUST PLAY, if you can that is. I hope you can, it is a good one.

Even if you are the hide-ee, it's still fun. Be you hide-er or hide-ee, it is fun for all.
