Look... People have started fucking huge flamewars over this.

In my opinion it's like the Higurashi, and Tsukihime animes.
They're somewhat decent until you realize how superior the Visual Novels were.
But instead of raped character designs, and plot holes that weren't there to begin with, you get scaled leveling, an environment that isn't even lore correct, and poor unfinished excuses for quests.

Moving on from my most likely poorly grammatically structured opinion...

Hey! Even Barbie makes it here! Of course grand strategical awesomeness needs to be in!

Kidding aside, HoI and EU are the chosen from the Grand Strategy genre, they need to be played!

Civilization! I like Civ4 the most, but some say you should play the early ones. Definitely the mods.. Fall From Heaven 2 is the best for strategy/fantasy fans.

Should Mount & Blade be on the list?
