In real life, there's more to arguments than just words. Winning an argument can easily be done by just staring at the person. Of course, there's also more at stake whether you win or lose one though.

I know few guys who are unable to listen to arguments of others. They simply have their opinion and will NOT change it. EVER. It is like talking to wall (or watching politics).

I still have not found a way how to deal with these people and achieve your goal with a peaceful dialogue.

This is what I love about forums.  Many times in the past I have typed out something extremely unkind, and then thought "You know what, this is the opposite of a good idea" and not posted anything at all.  But yeah, IRL, I've been known to give in to the Beast and start ad homineming someone into submission.
I have done that a lot.  Usually to let off steam.
In Real life, it's pointless to argue, because the person who wins in the end is the person who doen't have have to worry about losing their job/teeth.
Well, it depends.  I have managed to actually genuinely win an argument over religion on one occasion.  But it wasn't much of an argument, and my friend wasn't particularly religious.  So um, yeah.  And the other difference in real life is that you can never get to the end of a sentence, so any arguments you use have to be under 20 words long, which means they often become insulting.

I just did that today... wrote a long post and when I read it back I realized that it really was unnecesary discussion and that it wouldn't bring up any good...

If it's not positive it's probably not necessary... Save it.

Mind you, constructive criticism is great.  You only have to give it with respect and humbleness.

No you idiot we need to be bold and frank about our ideas, expressing ourselves properly, not hiding behind shields of moderation.  Anyone who agrees with you is a COMPLETE IDIOT WHO SHOULD GO KILL THEMSELVES.

I mean, hmm, how interesting.

Yeah well....

But I realized that I was not informed enough...
Didn't really know what I thought about it...
And was about to make a bold statement and I would probably tie myself to defend it even though I wasn't sure...

Why would I do that... better to make a neutral post if I want to post something about it...

We, internet fans (frenetic posters), are too used to posting THE TRUTH that comes right out from our minds and was probably created in 15 seconds while we were SKIMMING the thread.

I just recently discovered the genius xkcd:
