"90% of anything is crap"

This applies to people to, young and old, from all periods of history and social contexts.

What about the lady that was on "Are you smarter than a fifth grader?" she didn't even know Europe was a continent, she thought it was a country!  The humanity!  Well it's television so let me get my shotgun.

Right, because the people on "Are you smarter than a fifth grader" accurately represent the population as a whole.  Its not as if the network intentionally chooses stupid people for their entertainment value.

I can't really agree with the whole "people are stupid" thing.  Do you guys actually talk to people?

I find it kinda sad that I actually thought about world politics and NK's nuclear threat when I was twelve.

That was the year they did their first underground test.

I find it more ironic that I delve about world politics on EIGHT[/u]

Of course, that was just because I'm bored, and I don't like the "new" white-wannabe thingies that everyone here obsessed with. Ni! 'side, I don't understand, and don't want to, love (while nearly every song and film released here is about that... I would prefer a calculate-able variable than an unknown variable that varies between individuals and is only a place holder of a basic animal instinct.)

I wouldn't say stupid, but rather they're, as a whole, ignorant.
Because of ignority, after all, breeds bigotry.

Note: I'm speaking as a male individual that has been labeled 'smart', or 'genius' by the society (or rather, those who knew me...) that live on a completely different side of the planet.

So, disregard this post, completely. I MANDATE IT!

They made the damn 70-80's.
Vanilla Ice is amazing and you know it.

But in all seriousness, undiluted information without mediators or any other force to remove it makes for some craaaaaazy assumptions.
Anyone with writing talent can spread a disease throughout somewhere you are not on there blog and someone will believe it. And tell others. Spiral ensues.

And on the topic of reading...

"But seriously, Twilight is just amazing, it is the modern day Romeo and Juliet. In the future this is what kids will be studying.
Left me speechless.

I'm regarded as a genius by those around me.

The Reason:

Goddamned initiative.

I can actually do things, and learn things, and figure out how to do things and learn things. 95% of people I know can't do anything without being told how to over and over again, and when they have been, are too lazy to do it. Even my dad can't figure out how to turn the Wii on after we've had it for a whole year, and my mom can't figure out how to use a simple remote for a cheap TV.

I don't consider myself smarter, just everyone else is stupider. So many aspects of life make things so autonomous that people can't cope with change. Anything outside the daily grind is scary and confusing.

No one can help themselves. In my horrible Visual Basic class, the incompetent teacher who had never coded before had me help the other students. When I ask what wasn't working, they said that they didn't know, even The textbook told us how to solve everything. Except for the final. Which we had to solve on our own. I was one of the three that passed.

The burden of free will is a large one, which is why I generally lock up in my room with my books and internet and try to forget the world of savages outside of me.

Some days I just feel like BERSERKING.

I take all my violence and hatred out during lucid dreams.

This forum is the only place I can go to speak with people who actually rival or surpass my mental skills.

Is it only this bad in Alabama?

Not only is it not actually advertising anything, it's just copy/pasting word salads about gold, runescape, oil, yuan, and handbags.  It's like a transporter accident combined all the spambots into one shambling mass of online sales.

A teenage girl was electrocuted after dropping her laptop into the bath as she twittered in the tub.

Police said they believed Maria Barbu, 17, had tried to plug in her laptop with wet hands after the battery died during a long session on social networking site Twitter as she took a soak at her home in Brasov, central Romania.

She was found dead by her parents with the laptop lying next to her.

Most I've done coding-wise is making a program in AutoHotKey that adds everything you copy into a log. It really sucks, but there is that sense of achievement.

You know what I think it falls under. Too much emphasis on the bad stuff with our generation. Sure there are really stupid people out there. But there are way more smart/normal people who do an excellent job at what they do. The media never focus on the good stuff, cause that doesn't bring in the ratings. They only ever focus on the bad stuff, cause its more interesting than finding out that everyone is doing just fine and nothing bad to report. So one kid fails at a test, its more important than the 99 that passed it. Shame really.
