This seems like the kind of question you could easily have answered for yourself. Or you could have assumed that they would, like every other melee dwarf does.

Alternatively, the real question is "I have a swordsdwarf and he's not sparring; why is that?" for which there's any number of possible causes. Do a search for dwarves refusing to spar. It gets asked about a lot.
